Welcome to the Bridging the Gap Program

Bridging the Gap 2 Program is a summer research and extension experience for undergraduate students funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. The goal of BGP2 is to provide hands-on experiential learning opportunities to students to deepen their understanding, enhance success, and promote recruitment and retention in nutrition science. This program, in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut, focuses on providing research and extension opportunities in food and nutrition with an emphasis on engaging students from underrepresented backgrounds.
